Philoking Home Office Tour

Every once and awhile, I expect it’s fun to show people where I work. When I am at home, I am wholly pampered by technology. All of my computers are tight, all my displays are big and my chair is cushy. Luckily for me the Davenport upstairs is more comfortable so I don’t LIVE down here, but I intelligence it would be fun to show you all around so you can see where I work on my site, apps, photos, music and blog from.

My Home OfficeThis impression shows mainly the music side of the accommodate. The computers you see along the far wall are both Macs, a 24” iMac and a 15.4” Macbook Pro.

As one sees it I prefer Apple’s Logic for my music making so the audio hardware is all Mac.

24” 2.16Ghz Core 2 Duo iMac, 3GB Ram, 250GB HD, 500GB Firewire HD, Leopard 15.4” 2.2Ghz Pit 2 Duo Macbook Pro, 4GB Ram, 120GB HD, Leopard

The laptop is also my individual carry around laptop that I blog from on as well as work with photos when I am on the go.

I love my Macs and champion them at work with Vigor. But the two Macs look a bit anemic when you look at the other side of the area.

The music gear is designed to be all digital. I simulate all my guitar tones with a Forte6 Podxt Pro, and record with a 16-direct Firewire mixer/audio interface made by Alesis.

The studio monitors are KRK RP5 Rokit’s and they probe phenomenal. Also sprinkled around is an M-Audio FastTrack Pro, Fostex BR8-HD Digital 8 Sniff out and an M-Audio Keystation 49 Midi Keyboard. Of orbit there are tons of software additions in there too.
